We are currently spending some time in the fantastic studio. Everything has runned very smooth and for hot summer/spring nite like this the terrace is pure magic.
We can surely recommend this to all of you thinking about renting an apartment instead of a hotelroom, the neigbourhood is central (if you're looking for LES, Soho) and Blue is very serviceminded.

We stayed in this amazing apt for two weeks and feel very lucky to have found it. Everything was perfect and new and booking it was easier than a hotel. I am almost hesitant to post this, as I want to keep it all to myself for future trips to the city. Cool neighborhood, cool apt, cool owner! Thank you!

Wow! Can't believe our luck to have found this place on craiglist. What a find! This is clean, upscale and a good balance to the gritty streets of the Lower East Side. We loved it!

Blue’s pied-à-terre served as our home base for delightful week in NY. We specifically wanted to be in the Lower East Side because its vicinity to Chinatown, Little Italy and Jewish gastronomic Meccas, such as Katz and Russ & Daughters. I tried for days to get into Russ & Daughters to no avail, the wait was at least an hour each time. Katz was an obligatory stop, since I had never been there. (Katz is the venue for a famous scene in the movie When Sally met Harry. However, I don’t think I would return. The ambience left much to be desired and the pastrami sandwich, while very good, could forever alter your lipid profile, even if you share it, as we did.) The Venetian restaurant two blocks away from the apartment, Bacaro, is not to be missed, as suggested by Blue. They don’t take reservations, unfortunately. We got lucky and got in without a wait in midweek. We had hoped to systematically try the many Vietnamese restaurants nearby but the gastronomic competition was fierce and will need to leave the exhaustive review for another occasion. Pho Grand seemed better to us that some others we tried. We did discover a gem of a dim sum place, Dim Sum Go Go. The wait can be long, so if they ask you whether you want to share a table, by all means do. We did and met a nice Cantonese couple. They claimed this restaurant to have the best dim sum in the city. It is no surprise that we gained a few pounds along the way but the damage would have been far worst had we also not been able to go to a wonderful gym nearby, Ludlow Fitness. To move outside of the Lower East Side the subway line that goes near the apartment, F, could not be more convenient to reach the rest of the city and even to venture into Brooklyn. You simply need to remember, on your return, to look for the exit labeled Rutgers & East Broadway and avoid the Madison exit. I hope Blue hangs on to the apartment, there is much more to explore in the immediate surroundings. We hope to be back.

Dear Blue !
we're back in France and so happy of our NY trip !
Among the most wonderful places we discovered in NYC, there were Central Park, the Café Esperanto in the Village, Prince street, Freeman's place and... Orchard street !
Thank you for your marvelous place.
and Happy new year
Sincerely yours,

Anne and Laurent

Staying at the Orchard Street studio made us feel like we lived there. The LES was our neighborhood. Faces and places became familiar. The bartenders at Lolita knew our names. After a week we found it hard to leave.

The Orchard Street studio helped us become locals, even if only for a few days. That's all we needed to make it perfect.

We were in NYC for the first time and we spent a wonderful stay in the city. We were very happy to leave in a real newyorker apt and in the same time, we immediatly felt like home. We will surely be back to enjoy the terrace in the summer !
And thank to Blue for the nice adresses in the neighborhood : the brunch at 88 Orchard was great...

It's a bit late but events overtook us when we got back and I haven't had time to post! We stayed in the apartment back in April and had a truly amazing time. The apartment was perfect, a great size and brilliant location with loads of local bars/restaurants etc. An extra bonus - we got engaged whilst away!

Thanks Blue for your patient answers to our questions and for providing us with such a great base from which to enjoy the city.
